Start With a Short Walk Together
You can walk a few steps, pause and turn towards each other. That small sequence gives the photographer different expressions and distances without asking you to hold a stiff position. If the sand feels difficult underfoot, slow down or stay in one comfortable spot; you do not need to climb a steep dune for a natural photograph.
Use Walking and Seated Portraits for Variety
Give Your Hands Something Simple to Do
For a portrait after a proposal, take a moment to look at the ring together. You do not need to point it directly at the camera in every image. A separate detail photograph can show it clearly while the rest of the session stays focused on the two of you.
Try a Seated Portrait Without Forcing the Pose
Once settled, turn slightly towards each other and let your shoulders relax. Talk for a moment or lean closer if that feels natural. Small changes in your eye line and distance can create variety without repeatedly getting up and down.
Move From a Wider Frame to a Close Portrait
Let the Photographer Work With the Light and Wind
If hair or clothing moves in the wind, pause between photographs and adjust it when needed. You can alternate a little movement with a still portrait. Comfort matters more than holding a pose that is difficult in the conditions.
