Photographs to mark almost five years of marriage

She is from Ukraine; he is Portuguese. After more than four years of marriage, they wanted photographs together to celebrate their approaching fifth wedding anniversary. Their anniversary photoshoot in Lisbon began in Belém during blue hour, before sunrise, with the tower and water behind them. It was a quiet, romantic way to start the day and mark a milestone they were looking forward to.

Blue hour beside Belém Tower

The first photographs place the two of them beneath the tower, with pale blue sky above the waterfront. They walked hand in hand across the stone paving, looked towards each other and paused for an embrace. Some frames take in the whole tower and the space around them; others come closer, keeping their shared glances at the centre of the photograph. The same setting gives each moment a familiar backdrop.
