1. Sunset Beach: That Famous Burj Al Arab View
The sail-shaped Burj Al Arab is such a cheerful sight to find beside the water. At Sunset Beach, also called Umm Suqeim Beach, it brings a little of that “we’re really in Dubai!” feeling to your walk. There is sea, sky and that very familiar building, all in one view.
This is a lovely choice if the landmark is part of what you have been dreaming about. A simple seaside outing can feel special here, with room in the plan for photographs together. Agree the exact spot in advance if the Burj Al Arab view matters to you. This is a public beach, separate from the hotel’s own grounds.
2. Kite Beach: For a Fun, Easygoing Day
Kite Beach has plenty to keep a walk interesting. There is a long shore, food to look forward to and, when the conditions suit, kitesurfers out on the water. It has the cheerful feel of people enjoying a proper beach day. If your favourite dates involve wandering, chatting and finding something tasty, this one may be your kind of place.

Nessnass Beach, also called Jumeirah Public Beach, sits behind Sunset Mall. The open sand and watersports give it a relaxed, everyday beach feel. It is a nice idea for a partner who would enjoy time by the water without making the whole day a grand event.
The pleasure here is quite simple: a stretch of sea, a little wandering and a reason to put the sightseeing plans aside. There may be kitesurfers and other beachgoers around, with plenty happening out on the water. If your partner could happily watch the waves for ages, this is one to keep on your list.
4. The Beach, JBR: Keep the Evening Going
At JBR, a beach visit can happily turn into the rest of your evening. Tall buildings rise behind the sand, restaurants line the waterfront and there is plenty to look at as you wander. It is an exciting mix of city and seaside, especially if you both enjoy being where things are happening.
You could plan dinner nearby and leave some time between the beach and your table. There is no need to hurry away from the view the moment your photographs are finished. JBR is popular, so this is a better fit for someone happy with people around than someone hoping for a very private moment.
5. Palm West Beach: Dress Up for Dinner by the Water
Palm West Beach on Palm Jumeirah makes a seaside dinner sound very tempting. There is a waterfront walk and a choice of restaurants, so the beach can be part of an evening you are both excited about. A favourite outfit, a sea view and a table you have been looking forward to can be a lovely starting point.
The different restaurants and beach areas have their own arrangements. If you are picturing a proposal on the sand followed by dinner, confirm the exact area, booking and photography plan together. That way you know which part of the evening is actually arranged, while your partner still has a rather wonderful surprise to discover.

Tip: A note for your shortlist: Visit Dubai lists Al Sufouh Beach as closed to the public, checked on 19 October 2026. You may know it as Secret Beach or Black Palace Beach. Leave it out of your plans unless reopening is confirmed.
