Photos from the city where their story began

This Brazilian couple met and fell in love in Lisbon. The city had become part of their story, and they wanted photographs to share with their family back home: a collection that showed their love, their personalities and how much fun they were having here. Their photoshoot with a Lisbon photographer began around sunset at Praça do Comércio, before continuing to the waterfront and a little beach beside the river.

Playful moments beneath the arches

The arches around Praça do Comércio gave them room to walk hand in hand, exchange smiles and turn towards each other. Against a tall green door, they stood apart for one portrait, reached across to hold hands for another, then came together for a close embrace. Their spontaneous energy carries through the collection, from the repeated lanterns of the arcade to the open space of the square.

From the square to a little river beach

After the square and its grand architecture, the shoot moved down to the water. They walked along the sand with the river behind them, still holding hands and smiling at one another. The final portraits brought them close together beside a low waterfront wall. These photographs add another setting to the same evening: a little of Lisbon’s waterside alongside the yellow facades and stone arches.

Wide views keep the city in the story, while closer portraits show the two of them together. Walking, laughing and pausing for an embrace, they made photographs of a place that means something personal to them and memories they could share with the people back home.
