A new home, and a family growing in it

Originally from India, she had spent her life in Dubai before moving to London for love. Now she and her partner had another chapter to celebrate: a baby on the way. They wanted photographs that felt unmistakably like the city they were building their life in, with Big Ben and the classic red telephone boxes firmly on the list. Their maternity photoshoot in London would bring those familiar landmarks together with something much more personal: the ultrasound scan of their little one.

London icons, with a tiny personal detail

We planned their Travaya shoot for sunrise, making the most of the morning light and quieter streets. The red telephone boxes were our starting point, with Big Ben giving the photographs exactly the London feeling they had hoped for. Her pink floral dress brought a lovely softness to the bright red paintwork and grey stone, while his blue suit kept their portraits feeling beautifully coordinated. They had brought their ultrasound scan to include in some fun, personal photographs. Against such a recognisable city backdrop, that small strip of pictures made the occasion entirely their own: these were maternity memories, as well as photographs of London.

Their ultrasound scan added a personal touch beside the classic red telephone box.

A morning walk through their London chapter

From the telephone boxes, we walked across Westminster Bridge and continued to the little spot beneath its stone arch. The river opened up the views, with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament across the water. We made photographs with the London Eye in the background, then walked back towards Big Ben for more of the landmark they had especially wanted. It was a relaxed, fun morning exploring together, with space for wide city photographs and closer maternity portraits. The finished gallery holds both parts of this chapter: London as the place she moved to for love, and the growing family they were celebrating there.

The London Eye gave their Westminster walk another unmistakable city view.

The city around them, the two of them at its centre

A red bus passing Big Ben and a quiet black-and-white portrait beneath the arch bring different sides of the same morning into the gallery. Together with the scan photographs, they preserve a particular time in their lives, before their little one arrived.
