Their growing family, with London around them

This couple from India wanted to remember a special chapter of their lives with a maternity photoshoot that felt unmistakably London. Their wish was for iconic city views, with Tower Bridge rather than the more traditional Big Ben setting. Their growing family was at the heart of the occasion, and London was the backdrop they wanted around it. Their maternity photoshoot in London with Travaya brought those two things together: portraits of them as a couple, alongside photographs celebrating her pregnancy.

Orange against the blues of London

Her orange dress was a deliberate part of their vision. She chose it to stand out against the cooler tones of the river and city skyline, and that contrast runs through the gallery. Beside the Thames, the bright fabric gives the photographs a warm focal point against the stone riverside wall and the soft greys of the water. We included broad views of Tower Bridge as well as closer portraits, so the landmark stays recognisable while there is room for the two of them. His pale shirt and dark trousers keep the clothing palette simple, letting the orange dress lead.

The city view, and the details that make it theirs

Tower Bridge gave us more than one way to hold on to that London feel. The gallery includes the Queen’s Walk, with the bridge across the water and views towards the Tower of London, as well as photographs on the bridge beside its blue railings and stonework. We made space for portraits of her on her own, photographs of them together and close details of their hands around her bump. The black-and-white photographs bring another texture to the collection. Together with the colour images, they preserve this stage of their growing family in a setting that matched the London view they had imagined.
