Two lovely ideas in your saved photos?

Perhaps you’ve saved a beach picture with a dress moving in the breeze, then found an indoor photograph you love just as much. One has the sea and sky around it. The other feels much closer, with more room for the bump and the people beside it. It’s quite possible to look at both and think, “Oh, I’d love that.”

You don’t have to settle the whole plan from those two pictures. Start by asking what you like about each one, then think about the visit that comes with it. Getting ready for the beach is a different little outing from arriving at a private room for your photographs. One may fit your Dubai trip much better than the other.

We’ll help you look at both sides: the pictures you’d love to keep, and how you’d like the day to feel. You might find your favourite straight away. Or you might have a few questions for us before choosing. Either is a lovely place to begin.

Start with the pictures, then picture the day

A setting is more than what appears behind you. It also shapes the journey, the clothes you bring and the people who can share the time with you. A few simple questions can make the choice much clearer.

- What do you want to remember? A little of Dubai around you, a more private maternity picture, time with your partner or some photographs with the children too?
- What sort of outing would you enjoy? A short walk by the water, a trip out to the dunes, or getting ready for photographs in a suitable room indoors?
- What would help the visit work for you? Less walking, somewhere to sit, a place to change, air conditioning or a particular time that fits the rest of your day?

Tell us the parts you already know. You might be certain about wanting the sea but unsure about an early start. Or you might love indoor photographs and want to know what sort of room we can plan around. Those are useful things to bring into the conversation.

When you plan your Dubai maternity photos with us, we help with the setting, timing and photographer. We can compare the actual options for your dates and work through the details with you. That can turn the photograph you’ve saved into a plan you’re looking forward to.
Going outside? Dubai photo spots

Outdoors: a little Dubai in your maternity photos

If the setting is part of what you’re excited about, an outdoor session may be the idea you keep coming back to. The sea, the sand or the city can give the photographs a lovely sense of this trip. Later, you might recognise the place before you’ve even looked properly at the bump. That can be a sweet little thing to keep from a holiday.

For a beach visit, think about the view you love. Sunset Beach, also called Umm Suqeim Beach, is an option for the Burj Al Arab. If that familiar sail-shaped hotel is the one you’re imagining, our Burj Al Arab maternity guide helps bring the beach, time and access details together. You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to consider the public beach; professional photography still needs its own location checks.

The desert gives you another feeling again, with dunes and open sky. A city waterfront can keep more of the buildings and water in the picture. You may already know which feels most like your idea of Dubai. You can enjoy a setting for a very simple reason: it’s the place you’d love to remember being together. Our Dubai desert maternity guide helps with the time, journey and spot if the dunes are your favourite.

The actual light, wind, temperature and other people at the spot depend on the day. A pink sky or an empty beach can look beautiful in someone else’s photograph, but it is not part of a booking we can promise. We can help choose a particular place and plan around the conditions for your visit. You might still love the feeling of a shared holiday beach, with your own little family moment happening there.

Think about the route too. How far is the photo spot from where your car stops? Is it a firm path or sand? Where could you pause? A short planned stretch may give you the view you want without adding a long walk. If the little trip to the water sounds like something you’d enjoy, that belongs in the choice just as much as the look of the pictures.

Indoors: time for you and your lovely bump

An indoor maternity photograph can have a lovely closeness to it. Perhaps what caught your eye was a simple room, a favourite outfit and very little else. Or it was a picture of two people together, with the bump right there between them. You can choose indoors because you love those photographs in their own right.

A suitable private indoor or studio-style setting is worth discussing if you’d like air conditioning, somewhere to sit or more privacy. It can also give you a different plan from an outdoor visit if sand, wind or a walk to a viewpoint do not appeal. The actual space matters more than the name we give the style.

Tell us the kind of room you have in mind and the photographs you like. Then we can check what is available for the date, what use of the space is included, who may enter and where you could change. A room with a soft, simple look and a hired photography studio are not automatically the same booking. Knowing which one you are choosing helps the day make sense before you arrive.

If the room has windows, the time of day can still affect the light. If other lighting is part of the plan, your photographer can work with that. You do not need to learn how any of it works. Share the pictures you’re drawn to, and let us help choose a place and time that suit that idea.

For a session with your partner or children, ask how everyone will fit into the space and the visit. A room can be new to a toddler just as a beach can. It helps to plan around the actual family coming, with a named adult to look after children during photographs of you alone or with your partner.

If you’d like more personal maternity pictures or an outfit you would only wear in private, say so before choosing the setting. We can discuss suitable privacy and changing arrangements for the actual room. Once the room and the details are agreed, you can look forward to getting ready for those pictures. Perhaps it’s the first time you’ve put that outfit on for anything other than a quick look in the mirror. It can be lovely to make a little time for it.

Relaxed Indoor Maternity Portraits

Would you love some indoors and some outdoors?

Perhaps each idea has something you’d love in the gallery. A few closer photographs indoors, then a wider picture with a little Dubai around you. If you’d like both, ask us about that plan before booking a session. We’ll need to check whether the actual places, date, time and price can work together.

Start with the part that matters most. If the beach is the photograph you’ve been thinking about for months, let that guide the plan. If the indoor pictures are the main wish and a little time outside would be a bonus, say that. It helps us see what should come first when the day has a fixed amount of time.

The journey between the two places is part of the outing. So are leaving a room, gathering bags, changing clothes and finding the next entrance. Two locations that look close on a map may still need more time than you expect. We can discuss those details before you decide whether the extra setting will add something you’d enjoy.

There is no fixed rule that the indoor part must happen first, or that 90 minutes automatically includes two places, travel and a studio. The actual booking needs to say what is possible, what time you have in each place and what any room or access costs add to the total.

You may find that choosing one setting is the plan you feel happiest about. Or the two may fit together beautifully once the details are checked. Both are good reasons to choose. You do not have to collect every kind of maternity photograph just because you love looking at them.

Choose a date and time you can look forward to

Your travel dates may already be set, or you may have a little room to choose. Start there, then tell us what you’d enjoy and what would help the visit suit you. There is no single pregnancy week that promises the same experience for everyone. The amount of walking, standing and time you want matters to the plan too.

For an outdoor session, choose the time with the actual place and conditions in mind. Sunrise may fit you if you like an early start, while an evening session may suit a slower morning. Think about getting ready and travelling there as well as the sun time. An early alarm does not bring a guarantee of cool air, a quiet place or a particular sky.

The time of year gives us a starting point, but we still need to look at your actual dates. Hot weather may make a suitable indoor setting more appealing. Cooler parts of the year can open up different outdoor ideas, without promising that every day will feel the same. We can help compare the options for the visit you’re really making.

Indoors, the room and how it will be lit can help decide the time. You may also want to think about your own day and anyone joining. If children are coming, work meals and naps into the choice. The time that looks nicest on a saved photograph is only one part of the plan.

Our Dubai maternity timing guide looks further at choosing when to book. Tell us your practical wishes as well as the dates. We can then help build a plan around them, with the start time and arrangements confirmed before the day.

Tip: If you’d like an indoor option in case the weather changes, discuss it before booking. The room, available times, extra costs and any changes to your booking need to be agreed; it is not an automatic switch on the day.

Golden-Hour Maternity Photos by the Sea

What would you love to wear in these pictures?

You may already have the outfit in mind. A dress you keep looking at, a simple piece that feels lovely on, or something you’ve bought especially for this part of your life. Start with that feeling. The best place to begin is something you would be happy putting on for your own photographs.

For the beach or dunes, think about the fabric outside as well as its colour. A light dress can move prettily in the breeze, but you’ll also want to feel at ease if the wind lifts it. Try walking and sitting in it before the day. Bring shoes for the actual route, and decide what suits the ground when you arrive; bare feet do not need to be part of every beach picture.

Cream, pale pink and soft blue can look lovely beside the sea. A brighter colour may feel much more like you. Bring the colours you enjoy wearing into the choice. If you look forward to putting the outfit on, that is a lovely place to start. If your partner is joining, lay the clothes together and see whether you like them side by side.

For an indoor session, think about the room as well as your outfit. A simple dress, a wrap or another look you love can each give a different feeling. If you’d like a robe or more personal pictures, discuss the actual privacy and changing place with us first. The clothes should suit what you’ve chosen to do there.

If you’re considering both settings, one outfit may work for the whole visit. If you would love a second look, give it a place in the plan too. Check where the change would happen and how it fits the time you have booked, including the journey between places.

Our Dubai maternity outfit guide gives more help with the choice. You can keep the bag quite small. Choose the outfit you really want to wear, then see what else you need to bring. A little less in the bag can leave you with a little less to keep track of when it’s time to head out.

Bring the little details into one clear booking

Once you know which setting you prefer, we can help bring the practical parts together. Travaya’s current Dubai maternity packages offer 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Choose with the pictures, people, outfits and pace you want in mind, then confirm the actual place and any extra costs separately.

For an outdoor plan, keep the agreed meeting point and entrance handy. Know what the route is like after the car stops, and tell us if you need very little walking or somewhere to pause. Bring water and the small things you’d normally want for that kind of outing. You do not need to arrive with a set of poses or a minute-by-minute plan for each picture.

Access and photography permission need checking for the exact spot. A public beach or park being open to visitors is not by itself permission for a professional photoshoot. Hotels and places with their own entry rules can have separate photography rules and costs too. We’ll help you find out what needs to be agreed for the session you want, so the place in the booking is the one you can actually use.

For an indoor plan, agree the room, access time, changing place and who will be there. Leave enough time to get ready without assuming that the cost of using the room, extra time or a second space is included. The plan can be simple while still being clear about what you have booked.

If you hope to use two settings, keep the travel and the order in the same confirmed plan. There should be a clear idea of where you’re going next and what happens if the journey or conditions change. If you’d like the option of an outdoor part, discuss it with us early. We can check what is possible and include the agreed details in the plan.

Tell us before the shoot if your needs have changed. Perhaps you’d like fewer changes of clothes, a shorter route or more time for pictures with your partner. We can discuss what can be adjusted within your booking. Choosing a suitable plan beforehand gives those wishes somewhere to belong.

Then let the photographer help with making the pictures. You can look forward to being in them, whether that means a little sea breeze beside you or a favourite outfit in a lovely room. The practical details are there to support that part of the day.

Which idea are you still thinking about?

After all the comparing, notice which picture you keep coming back to. Perhaps it’s the sea and that little sense of being away together. Perhaps it’s an indoor photograph that feels very much about you and the bump. Or you’d like to ask whether there’s a sensible way to bring both into the same outing.

You can start with one clear wish and a few questions. Tell us your dates, who’s joining and the setting you love. We can help check the time, place and booking details around that idea. There is no need to have every answer before you get in touch.

Later, the gallery may become a little part of a bigger family album, with baby photographs still to come. For now, choose the kind of visit you’d like to make for these pictures. This lovely part belongs in the story too.
