An anniversary above the waking city

She was from Sri Lanka, he was Czech, and they wanted to mark their anniversary with new memories together in Prague. An early anniversary photoshoot in Prague took them around Prague Castle at sunrise, where quiet surroundings and the first light gave this chapter of their marriage a beautiful setting.

Sunrise, with the city below

The early start brought a lovely sunrise and an unusually quiet setting, with almost no one around during the session. From the viewpoints near the castle, soft light reached across the rooftops and caught the stone underfoot. The couple stood close at the wall, looked over the city and walked hand in hand across the open space. In wide photographs they became part of the Prague view; in closer ones, an embrace kept the anniversary at the centre of the frame.

Historic walls and quiet courtyards

Around Prague Castle, the surroundings offered a change of scale. A patterned facade became the background for a hand-in-hand walk, while the carved cathedral doorway framed the couple beneath its stone arch. They paused beside the dark doors and moved through the quieter paths and courtyards nearby. Her light dress and his brown jacket brought a gentle contrast to the architecture, linking the different places into one series of portraits.

Steps, an archway and a decorative gate gave the photographs smaller details alongside the panoramic views.
