An Afternoon Photoshoot in Prague’s Old Town & Kampa

They knew Prague as home. An afternoon in Old Town and beside the river became a chance to make photographs of their time together.

A little time together in their own city

Both students and both from Prague, this young Czech couple wanted lovely photographs together in the city they knew as home. Their afternoon session with a local Prague photographer started in Old Town before continuing towards the Kampa side of Charles Bridge, mixing well-known landmarks with quieter corners.

Old Town, with room to look closer

The Astronomical Clock was one of the highlights of the afternoon. Beneath its decorated face, the couple stood together and reached for each other across the patterned pavement. Nearby, a carved wooden entrance, a smaller clock and the painted facade of a historic building added other backgrounds. The photographs moved between wider views of these familiar places and closer portraits that kept the attention on the couple. Their soft neutral layers and a deep pink jacket brought a simple thread of colour through the different streets.

Towards the Kampa side of Charles Bridge

From Old Town, the session continued towards Kampa. The steps beside Charles Bridge gave them space to stand close and walk down together, followed by a hand-in-hand stroll along the cobbles. By the Vltava, the city opened into a different view. They sat on a low riverside wall and paused for an embrace with the bridge across the water. The river photographs balanced the more detailed Old Town settings with sky, water and a little breathing room.

Home, seen together

The result was a relaxed series about their time as a young couple in their own city. The landmarks helped place the story, while the smiles and the easy moments between them made it personal: an afternoon in Prague, kept in photographs.
