A journey worth remembering together

For this Chinese couple, travelling around Europe came with a lovely idea: book a mini photoshoot in several cities and bring home beautiful photographs from each destination. Their Prague photoshoot took us into Old Town, with the Astronomical Clock as an unmistakable backdrop. This was one chapter of a much bigger journey, captured with both of them in the picture and the character of the city all around.

Their Prague chapter, beneath the clock

The Astronomical Clock gave these photographs a real sense of place. In the wider portraits, its detailed face and the patterned pavement became part of the composition. Closer in, the focus shifted to the couple: hands held together, a smile towards the camera and a kiss with the clock just behind them.

Their soft, neutral coats worked beautifully against the old stone. Moving between full-length photographs and close portraits meant the collection could hold both the landmark and the small moments they shared beside it.

Old Town details and photographs for home

We also made use of the Old Town Hall’s tall wooden doorway. Its carved stone arch framed a different kind of portrait: first with a little space between them, then standing close together. Those changes brought variety to the photographs without losing the atmosphere of Old Town.

The finished collection includes colour and black-and-white images, wider views and affectionate close-ups. Together, they make a small record of the couple in Prague, ready to sit alongside photographs from the other stops on their European trip. A place they visited became somewhere they could remember being together.
