From India to a life together in Prague

Originally from India, this married couple had moved to Prague together. Their evening around the castle was full of the energy they brought to the shoot: big smiles, playful moments and plenty of laughter. A couple shoot with a Prague photographer gave them a collection of photographs together in the city they now called home.

Starting at St. Vitus Cathedral

We began by the cathedral's beautifully carved doors. The tall Gothic entrance gave us room to step back for wider photographs, with the couple framed by the architecture. On the nearby steps, we moved in closer for smiles and little looks between them.

There was a lovely contrast between the grand setting and their relaxed style: a white lace dress and boots, a patterned shirt, and two people clearly having fun together. Their personalities came through just as strongly as the place.

A walk through the castle grounds

From the cathedral, we wandered through the castle area towards the viewpoint, stopping whenever another backdrop caught our eye. A stone archway framed a hand-in-hand walk through a courtyard. A ledge became a place to sit close together, and the ornate doorway of St. George's Basilica gave us another beautifully detailed setting.

We photographed both their playful side and the quieter embraces between. The route kept changing the scene without losing what made this shoot so enjoyable: their easy connection and lively energy.

Ending above the city

Towards sunset, we reached the viewpoint for the last photographs. With Prague beyond the stone walls, the city became the backdrop to a few more portraits together.

Some of our favourite frames here are the black-and-white ones: a softly focused couple against the rooftops, then a laughing embrace by the wall. It was a fitting finish to an evening that felt warm, spontaneous and full of their character.
