A little time to celebrate their love

After a few years together, this couple wanted photographs that celebrated their love. A 30-minute morning session around Buda Castle gave them a simple route through grand architecture and open city views. With a photographer in Budapest, they moved between the castle's platforms, its ornate gate and the surrounding grounds, before finishing at a lower platform overlooking the Chain Bridge.

A morning above Budapest

In the opening photographs, the stone balustrades and open platforms leave space for the couple and the city beyond. The morning atmosphere feels easy: a hand held across the terrace, a smile, a shared look, then a few steps together through the castle grounds. We mixed wider views with closer portraits, letting Budapest set the scene while keeping the couple at the centre.

The castle gate and surrounding grounds

The decorated castle gate brought a different character to the next photographs. Its stone arch framed the couple as they walked across the cobbles, paused for an embrace and shared a kiss. Around the castle grounds, the doorway, fountain sculptures and a nearby bench gave us more settings within the same short route. There was room for both the architecture and the smaller moments between them: laughter, a forehead kiss and another walk hand in hand.

One last view of the Chain Bridge

We finished on a lower platform with a beautiful view of the Chain Bridge across the Danube. The iron railing and the bridge beyond gave the final portraits a distinctly Budapest backdrop. A few photographs standing close together, followed by a last walk along the platform, rounded off the morning. Thirty minutes, a few years of shared history and a new collection of photographs to celebrate their relationship.
