Teal tones, pale stone and a tree-lined stroll

A little time together above the city

We explored Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church and the nearby promenade with this couple, making the most of the views and all that lovely pale stone. Her flowing teal dress and his dark polo shirt worked beautifully together, with his light trousers picking up the tones of the architecture. Their couple photoshoot in Budapest brought together big city views, closer portraits and a little room to dance.

Room for the two of them, and the view

The Bastion gave us pointed towers, open terraces and stone arches that framed the city so beautifully. We made photographs by the bench overlooking the rooftops and around the carved arcades, mixing the wider views with portraits that kept the attention on the two of them. There was room for a little dancing in the forecourt too. Her dress moved so nicely against the straight lines of the stonework, adding a lovely sweep of teal to the photographs.

Teal against the carved church doors

Around Matthias Church, the carved doorways and blue rose window gave us a different set of details to work with. The colour in the window looked lovely alongside her dress, while the broad steps and tall arches gave the photographs a sense of scale. We kept some of the smaller moments in the gallery as well: their hands together, a close portrait beside the door, and a walk away from the church. The black-and-white photographs bring out the textures and shapes of the stone beautifully.

A leafy stroll through Castle Hill

The cobbled streets around the church and Tóth Árpád promenade brought a softer feel to the shoot. Beneath the green and golden leaves, we made photographs with room for the tree-lined path as well as the couple. Their dark blue and teal tones fitted just as nicely into the greenery as they had beside the pale stone, giving the whole gallery a lovely thread of colour.
