From university to a shared Budapest memory

They had met at university and had been together for a while. During their time in Budapest, this student couple wanted lovely photographs to share with family back home, in different parts of the Czech Republic. They chose the Hungarian Parliament for its iconic architecture, creating a collection of city memories with their Budapest couple photographer.

A place their family would recognise

Parliament gave the photographs a clear sense of where the couple were spending time together. We captured them walking hand in hand across the square, with the pale stone façade behind them, then made space for quieter portraits on the nearby benches. Sitting close together, sharing a look or leaning into an embrace brought their relationship into the foreground, while the dome and detailed architecture kept Budapest firmly in the picture.

Riverside light around sunset

Later, around sunset, we photographed them at the front of Parliament and along the riverside. The sun sets on the opposite side of the river from Parliament; the riverside still offers lovely light and views for photographs with the building in the background. Turning towards the water gave the collection another look, with warm light, the Danube and the skyline across the river framing a close embrace.

Yellow trams and memories to send home

Budapest’s characteristic trams added another local detail to their photographs. A yellow carriage moving behind an embrace brought energy to the collection, while portraits beside the tram windows kept the focus on the couple. Together with the Parliament views and riverside moments, these images captured a little of their chapter of student life: a relationship that began at university, time spent together in Budapest and memories they could share with loved ones in the Czech Republic.
