The question had already been asked

This couple from Budapest had got engaged just two days earlier. The actual proposal hadn’t been photographed, and they wanted beautiful images to celebrate their new chapter together. A session with a Budapest engagement photographer gave them time to enjoy being newly engaged and create memories afterwards. They chose Chain Bridge and a riverside view of the Hungarian Parliament for their photographs, with the shoot taking place around sunset.

Sunset moments by Chain Bridge

We began around Chain Bridge as sunset approached. Its stone towers, suspension chains and dark railings gave the photographs a recognisable Budapest setting. There were easy walks hand in hand, smiles beside the railing and close portraits by the water. Sitting together on the riverside ledge, they could look towards the bridge; in other frames, the focus was simply on the two of them holding each other and sharing a smile.

A riverside view of Parliament

From the bridge, we walked towards the riverside on the opposite bank, where the Hungarian Parliament stood across the Danube. We photographed them there just before sunset, with the building’s dome and ornate façade behind them. Wider portraits included the full river view, while closer photographs caught a kiss, a quiet embrace and the way they looked at one another. A walk beside the stone river wall added movement between the seated portraits.

The little details of being newly engaged

Alongside the city views, we photographed their hands and the engagement ring. Those smaller details belong to this chapter too. The proposal was already part of their story; the photographs celebrated the excitement that followed it. With colour portraits, black-and-white moments and close-up ring photographs, the collection gave them a way to remember these first days of being engaged together.
