One lovely year of being married

One year of marriage deserves a little celebration. This lovely couple from Budapest chose to mark their first wedding anniversary with photographs together, making memories they could look back on for years to come. We joined them for a relaxed anniversary photoshoot in Budapest, exploring Heroes’ Square and the beautiful surroundings of Vajdahunyad Castle. A little romance, a few laughs and some lovely time for the two of them.

A beautiful castle setting for their anniversary

Vajdahunyad Castle gave their photographs such a lovely sense of place. We explored its grand carved doorway, pale palace façade and pointed towers, making a mix of closer portraits and photographs with plenty of architecture around them. Their light outfits looked beautiful against the warm stone. There was room for both the romantic photographs and the more relaxed ones, including a little pause together on the castle steps.

Golden leaves and quieter corners

Around the castle, the leafy paths, park benches and water brought a softer feel to the shoot. We made the most of those lovely golden leaves and the castle reflected in the water, with photographs along the stone bridges and balustrades. The warm colours worked beautifully with their simple outfits. We also mixed in black-and-white photographs, giving their anniversary gallery another way to remember these moments together.

Celebrating together at Heroes’ Square

At Heroes’ Square, the sweeping colonnade and patterned paving gave us a grand, open backdrop. We mixed wider city views with closer photographs full of their connection and little smiles. Together with the castle surroundings, it made a lovely collection to celebrate this first year of marriage: familiar Budapest places, a special occasion and photographs that keep the two of them at the heart of it.
