A lovely chapter before “I do”

With their wedding on the horizon, this engaged couple wanted to celebrate the special time before becoming husband and wife. We spent time with them at Liberty Bridge for an engagement photoshoot in Budapest, making photographs that brought their own style into the city setting. With their tattoos, white outfits and love of being in front of the camera, they were a joy to photograph.

Their style, and that green bridge

Their white clothing looked beautiful against Liberty Bridge’s deep green steelwork. It is a lovely combination: clean, soft colours with the strong lines and little decorative details of the bridge around them. Their tattoos were part of what made these photographs feel so personal, so we gave those details space in the gallery too. The closer photographs of their hands and ring belong alongside the portraits of the two of them, remembering this chapter before the wedding.

A little Budapest colour

We made the most of the bridge’s different backdrops, from the river views to its green beams and ornate lamp-posts. A yellow tram adds a lovely burst of Budapest colour to the wider photographs. Alongside those city views, there are closer portraits where their smiles take over. That mix gives the collection plenty of variety while keeping it about the same thing: the two of them, enjoying this part of their story together.

Engagement memories with their own character

The carved stone doorway gave us another texture for their portraits, with warmer tones alongside all that bridge green. We also kept a selection of black-and-white photographs, which bring out the light, their expressions and the tattoo details in a different way. Together, the photographs make a lovely reminder of being engaged: a special time worth celebrating before the wedding day arrives.
