A morning to celebrate their years together

After several years together, this lovely couple wanted photographs that celebrated the relationship they had built. Fisherman’s Bastion was their favourite iconic Budapest location, so it felt like a natural place to spend a morning together. They met their photographer in Budapest on a sunny October morning, ready for a collection of light, romantic photographs of the two of them, just as they were.

October light between the arches

The weather was lovely, warm enough for her beautiful floral dress. Against the pale stone of Fisherman’s Bastion, its dark fabric and soft floral pattern brought a little movement to each photograph. We used the open arches to frame the couple, with autumn trees and the Budapest skyline beyond. Sometimes they held hands; sometimes they simply stood facing each other, letting the morning light fall across the scene.

Stone steps, turrets and moments close together

Around the Bastion, the broad staircase and pointed turrets gave the photographs a sense of place. Walking hand in hand up the steps, they could enjoy the setting together while we captured the small looks along the way. Nearby, an ornate church doorway offered a different frame: carved stone, patterned paving and a closer embrace. The architecture added variety while keeping the attention on the couple.

A little twirl on the terrace, a kiss in the square and a quiet moment seated above the city brought a playful, personal side to the collection. Together with the wider views, these photographs tell the story of a relationship several years in the making. A favourite place, a beautiful October morning and time for each other gave them plenty to remember.
