A little romance among the Saturday visitors

This lovely Indian couple joined us at Fisherman’s Bastion on a Saturday during the day. There were plenty of other visitors enjoying the views, but we found lovely places to make photographs where the two of them could take centre stage. Their couple photoshoot in Budapest brought together the Bastion’s fairytale architecture, her bright red dress and his deep teal suit: a beautiful combination for romantic photographs of their time together.

Finding space on a busy Saturday

A popular location still has room for a personal collection of photographs. We worked with the spaces around the couple, making the most of the stone arches, steps and little corners where the architecture could frame them beautifully. A little patience helped us find photographs with a quieter feel, even while other people were exploring nearby. That is part of what we love about this shoot: the day did not need to be empty for their photographs to feel personal.

A brick-and-stone arch gave their portraits a lovely sense of space.

Red, teal and pale stone

Their outfits brought so much colour to the setting. Her red dress stood out against the pale stone, while his deep teal suit added another rich shade beside it. Around the carved doorway and the Bastion’s terraces, that palette tied the photographs together. We kept some black-and-white versions too, giving their expressions and the shapes of the architecture a different kind of attention.

The fairytale setting, close up and from afar

Fisherman’s Bastion gave us much more than one backdrop. Its pointed towers, curved terraces and rows of arches made a beautiful setting for the wider views, while the church doorway and hanging flowers brought smaller details into the collection. We mixed those views with closer portraits, keeping both the place and the couple in the finished gallery. A lovely reminder of their time together in Budapest, with plenty of the city’s character around them.
