From two parts of the world, a story together

He’s from Barcelona and she’s from South America. Together, they wanted to celebrate this chapter of their relationship and make photographs to share with family back home. We explored the lovely streets of El Born for their couple photoshoot in Barcelona, finding old stone, colourful little corners and plenty of room for the two of them to be the focus. It was a beautiful way to put a little of their life together into photographs.

The charm of El Born around them

El Born gave this shoot such a lovely mix of settings. Narrow stone lanes brought the old town close around them, while wider streets opened up to balconies, little shops and warm-toned façades. We kept some of that neighbourhood detail in the photographs, alongside closer portraits of the couple. It gives the gallery a sense of place without losing sight of why they were there: to celebrate their relationship, in a city that is part of their story.

Light outfits and the balconies, shops and old façades of El Born.

Light colours, warm stone and little details

Their outfits worked beautifully with the surroundings: her light halter top and lace skirt, his white T-shirt and dark trousers. Against pale brickwork, old stone and red metal, those soft colours kept the portraits simple and lovely. Elsewhere, red flowers, painted walls and strings of decorations brought little bursts of colour into the shoot. The black-and-white photographs offer another way to enjoy the same details, with the textures of the neighbourhood and the two of them together at the centre.

Memories for themselves and family back home

Church steps and the edge of a stone fountain added a quieter side to the gallery, alongside the lively streets and colourful corners. With wider views and closer portraits together, the finished photographs hold both the character of El Born and a little of their own connection. They made this shoot to celebrate a special chapter, and to share some of those memories with the people back home.
