The city around them, a moment for the two of them

The London Eye gave us a wonderful backdrop for this couple’s shoot, but their own style brought just as much to the photographs. Her bold patterned dress and black headscarf looked beautiful beside his soft pink shirt, with the river and London’s skyline all around them. We photographed them on the Golden Jubilee Bridge, among the trees in Jubilee Gardens and by the Thames at Westminster Pier. It made for a couple photoshoot in London with plenty of city character and a warm, personal feel.

A riverside backdrop worth sharing

There is something lovely about having so much of London within one view. From the bridge, we had the London Eye on one side and Parliament along the river on the other, with the bridge cables drawing long lines around them. We left room for those big surroundings, while keeping the couple at the centre of the photographs. Their outfits worked beautifully with the silver railings and soft tones across the water: a bold print, a pale shirt and the two of them amongst it all.

Greenery, warm light and a very London view

Jubilee Gardens gave this Travaya shoot a softer setting, with leafy trees and the wheel rising above them. We loved the way the greenery picked up the earthy shades in her dress, while his shirt kept the whole look light. Beside the river at Westminster Pier, sunlight on the water gave their portraits another kind of warmth. The London Eye stayed part of the picture, whether we included its full curve or brought the two of them closer. Together, the photographs hold on to their smiles, their style and this recognisable stretch of London.
