Three together, with London around them

Soft blue, a touch of mint and a very recognisable stretch of the Thames: we photographed this family of three around Tower Bridge and the brick lanes beside Butler’s Wharf. Their outfits worked beautifully with the blue paintwork of the bridge and the warm brick streets nearby. During their London family photoshoot, we made time for all three together, as well as photographs with their child and a little space for the couple.

Soft colours among the brick lanes

The brick lanes were a lovely setting for photographs of the couple together. Cobbles, tall warehouse buildings and overhead walkways gave us plenty of character around them, while her pale blue dress brought a little movement into the streets. We mixed walking photographs with closer portraits, keeping the warm brick and soft colours running through their shoot with Travaya. It is a lovely combination: a little of the neighbourhood, and plenty of the two people enjoying it together.

The Thames, the bridge and the three of them

Beside the Thames, Tower Bridge brought that familiar London view into the family photographs. We kept the three of them together for some portraits and varied the smaller combinations, too. The stone riverside wall, dark railings and wooden bench each gave us a slightly different place to make photographs. Their soft blue and mint outfits tied it all together, picking up the bridge’s colours while giving the family a gentle presence against the stone and water.

More than one way to remember being together

There is room for the family as a whole and for the smaller connections within it: photographs with their child, and portraits of the couple on their own. Together with the black-and-white moments, they make a varied reminder of the three of them in London, with the city woven through it.
