A little time together in London

The Thames, the London Eye and a little time together. This Travaya couple photoshoot in London brought a lovely mix of settings into the picture, from the open river views to the trees of Jubilee Gardens and the red telephone boxes near Westminster Pier. The wheel was a familiar presence across it all, rising above the water or peeking between the branches as we photographed the two of them.

London on both sides of the river

Golden Jubilee Bridge gave us the Thames below, the London Eye across the water and plenty of space for photographs of the couple together. Their outfits worked beautifully here: her cream knit and checked skirt beside his dark jumper and light trousers, with the pale sky and water around them. Near Westminster Pier, the stone riverside wall and the long frontage of County Hall brought another lovely view into the shoot. There is so much recognisable London in these surroundings, yet the photographs still have the two of them at their heart.

Among the trees, with a flash of red

Jubilee Gardens brought a softer setting, with an open lawn, leafy branches and the huge white curve of the wheel overhead. We photographed them beneath the trees and out in the open, keeping the greenery around their closer portraits as well as the wider views. The telephone boxes added their own charm: a pair of bright red doors and a very London spot to stand together. Alongside the colour photographs, the black-and-white portraits give their embraces and smiles a lovely simplicity. It is a warm record of this couple’s time in front of the camera, with a little of the city woven through it.
